Steps to Update Your Social Security Number in TEACH
- To begin, please log in to your TEACH account.
- Navigate to “Profile Links” and select “Update/Add Education, Employment, and Personal Information.” Then, click “Edit Personal Info” and select the “Request Social Security Change” button.
- You will be prompted to upload the necessary supporting documents, including a government-issued photo ID from the United States and a copy of your Social Security card.
- If you are updating the number associated with your account to a TEACH Access Number (TAN), please upload a screenshot of the email from our office assigning your TAN to replace your Social Security Card.
- Please be sure to click “Submit” at the bottom of the page to complete and send your request.
Checking The Status of a Social Security Number Change Request
To check the status of your Social Security Number Change Request, please contact TEACH Help by contacting us using our web form or calling 518-474-3901 and selecting option 3.
